Here is the candied bacon recipe that we use at home and for samples that we provide at the Farmer's Market. It is the only way we eat bacon at home.
Ingredients: Thick cut bacon ( I prefer the Kroger brand), That's The Way BBQ Go Rub, and brown sugar.
Cover your tray with foil. Place the thick cut bacon on the tray. Coat one side with rub. Place into the oven. Now, turn your oven to 350 degrees, Cook for 15 minutes, remove, turn the bacon, coat with rub and then add a light coating of brown sugar. Please back in oven and cook to desired doneness, Remove and place on parchment paper to cool.
Note: If you overcook the bacon the sugar will completely carmelize and your end product will tend to be salty.
